„A leader must be inspired by people before he can inspire people“ – Simon Sinek

How do you motivate your team if you are not inspired yourself? Leadership starts with turning visions into reality and inspiring others. Three important principles are: 


  1. Curiosity: Actively listen and ask questions. Who inspires you? What ideas does your team have? The best leaders are constantly learning from others - from interns to top managers.

  2. Ego on the sidelines: Learning often happens outside your comfort zone. Actively seek input, even from those who disagree with you.

  3. Share genuine passion: Communicate your enthusiasm for your company's mission - e.g. in regular team meetings.


Remember: leadership is not a solo act! Be inspired and stay curious. When was the last time someone in your team inspired you?
