2 - Surprised by Grace | Lessons of Faith from Joshua

A spirit lives and functions by processing information that meets its needs. Thoughts are the means of transport. In order to form thoughts from information such as words, writings, images, and experiences, a standard is required, because thinking is weighing things up. And the absorption of information takes place either through faith or presumption. At rebirth, the journey of faith begins until perfection is achieved. Faith must grow until the entry into Canaan. Unfortunately, the children of Israel did not understand this. Their unbelief stood in their way and was the deadly poison.

The problem in the human spirit: we give to others in order to get something back. But our selfishness is ultimately an illusion, because it is not possible to do something for ourselves. The process of absorption in the spirit takes place through trust and faith. The crucial difference lies in the order of these processes: in the error of the heart, they are reversed, causing one to fall into illusion instead of reality.

The story of Rahab stands for trust: she trusted in facts, seized the opportunity, and prayed for her family. When we trust in God and follow his facts in our lives, we believe his word. Rahab's actions demonstrate trust and faith. We will discuss the details of this in the second part of the series “Lessons of Faith from Joshua.”
