Share mistakes, accelerate progress

Mistakes are not a weakness. They are the ticket to progress – if you learn from them.

If you never admit to mistakes as a leader, it quickly makes you seem unapproachable. If you talk openly about mistakes, you come across as human and on equal footing.

This not only helps you grow, but also motivates your team. True strength lies in acknowledging setbacks and doing better next time.

When I talk openly about failures, I send a clear message: mistakes are allowed, learning is encouraged, growth is more important than perfection. This creates an environment where my team can take bold steps without fear.

How is it with you? Do you share your mistakes or try to hide them? What lesson has helped you grow as a leader recently?
